Archiving Workspaces
What is Archiving?
Archiving a workspace removes it from your active workspace list but does not permanently delete your data. This is a soft delete operation — all projects, time entries, tasks and members are retained and remain accessible for legal and compliance purposes.
If you need permanent data deletion (GDPR Article 17 — Right to Erasure), contact support@cadensa.io.
Required Permission
The workspaces.delete unit-level permission is required.
Who can archive by default:
| Role | Can Archive? |

| Unit Owner | |
| Unit Admin | |
| Unit Manager | |
| Unit Member |

FAQ
Can I restore an archived workspace?
Restoring an archived workspace is not currently available as a self-service feature. Contact support@cadensa.io if you need to restore a workspace.
Does archiving free up a workspace slot?
Yes. Archiving a workspace decrements your active workspace usage count, allowing you to create a new workspace within your tier's limit.
Can I still export data from an archived workspace?
Yes. Your data is retained and can be requested via Settings → Privacy → Export Data or by contacting support@cadensa.io.
Will team members be notified?
Currently, team members are not automatically notified when a workspace is archived. We recommend informing your team before archiving.
