Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with CADENSA in just 5 minutes! This guide will walk you through the essential steps to start tracking your time.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Visit app.cadensa.io/register
  2. Enter your email address and create a secure password
  3. Click "Sign Up"
  4. Check your email for a verification link (don't forget to check spam!)
  5. Click the verification link to activate your account
Password Requirements

Your password must be at least 8 characters long and include uppercase, lowercase, and numbers.

Step 2: Create Your First Workspace

After logging in, you'll be prompted to create your first workspace:

  1. Click "Create Workspace" button
  2. Fill in the details:
  • Workspace Name: e.g., "My Projects" or "Marketing Team"
  • Timezone: Select your timezone (e.g., Europe/Budapest)
  • Working Hours: Default is 8 hours per day
  • Currency: Choose your preferred currency (EUR, USD, HUF)
  1. Click "Create"
What is a Workspace?

A workspace is a container for your projects, team members, and time entries. Think of it as your organization or department.

Step 3: Create Your First Project

Now let's create a project to track time against:

  1. Navigate to "Projects" in the sidebar
  2. Click "New Project" button
  3. Enter project details:
  • Project Name: e.g., "Website Redesign"
  • Client: (Optional) Client name
  • Description: Brief project description
  • Color: Choose a color for easy identification

Project Limits

FREE tier allows 10 projects per workspace. Upgrade to PRO for unlimited projects!

Step 4: Start Tracking Time

There are two ways to track time in CADENSA:

Option A: Using the Timer

  1. Navigate to "Timer" in the sidebar
  2. Select your project from the dropdown
  3. (Optional) Add a task or description
  4. Click "Start Timer" start
  5. Do your work
  6. Click "Stop Timer" stop when done

The time entry is automatically saved!

Option B: Manual Time Entry

  1. Navigate to "Timer""Manual Entry" tab
  2. Fill in the details:
  • Date: Select the date
  • Start Time: e.g., 09:00
  • End Time: e.g., 11:30
  • Project: Select your project
  • Description: What did you work on?
  • Billable: Toggle if this is billable work
  1. Click "Save"

Step 5: View Your Time Logs

To see your tracked time:

  1. Navigate to "Reports" in the sidebar
  2. Select "Daily Summary" or "Weekly Summary"
  3. View your time breakdown by project

You can export your reports in CSV format (all tiers) or PDF/Excel (PRO+).

Congratulations!
