Onboarding Tour
When you register a new Cadensa account, an interactive guided tour starts automatically to help you set up your workspace and start tracking time in about 5 minutes.
How it works
The tour runs directly inside the Cadensa app — no separate setup page. A spotlight highlights the exact UI element you need to interact with, and a tooltip explains what to do. You complete each step by performing the actual action (clicking a button, filling in a form), so by the time the tour ends you already have a real workspace with real data.
Tour steps
The tour walks you through 6 main areas:

After step 6, a summary screen shows what PRO unlocks for growing teams.
Skipping and resuming steps
- You can skip any step by clicking "Skip – later" in the tooltip. Skipped steps are saved so the tour does not restart from scratch next time.
- Clicking outside the spotlight (the dark overlay) shows a confirmation dialog — you can continue the tour or exit.
- You can restart any step at any time from the Getting Started page in the sidebar (the ? icon → Help).
Getting Started page
The Help section in the left sidebar (? icon) opens the Getting Started page. This page shows all tour topics with their status:
- Completed — you finished the step (green badge)
- Seen — you started but did not complete the step
- Not started — you have not reached this step yet
Click Restart next to any topic to replay that step as an instant spotlight tour, regardless of its current status.
PRO upgrade trigger
When you upgrade to a PRO plan, the PRO features tour step starts automatically on the checkout success page to highlight what is now available.
Frequently asked questions
Can I skip the tour entirely?
Yes. Click Skip on the welcome screen. The tour will not start again automatically, but you can always return to it from the Getting Started page.
Will the tour reset if I refresh the page?
No. Your progress is saved to your account on every step, so the tour picks up exactly where you left off after a refresh or logout.
What if I registered before the tour was introduced?
The tour only starts for new accounts. Existing users can access all tour topics manually from the Getting Started page.
